The custom home building process begins with finding the dream lot for your dream home. Maybe you already own it or think you have found it. We will provide you a free site evaluation. This means we will point out any problems (obstacles, soil conditions, water drainage and others), and envision how your house can best be located on the site.
If you have no lot in mind, we will help you find one. Do you want rural, suburban or city? Do you want lots of space for privacy, gardening, entertaining or other activities or an easily managed small lot? Is distance from where you work or conduct activities important? Are good schools critical? If the lot that meets all your criteria is available we will locate it.

Deciding on the home design to build on your carefully chosen lot can be laden with anxiety. There are so many questions! Some you already can easily answer. Others will take more time to consider. Do you want lots of space or something more compact? One or two floors? Finished basement? How many bedrooms and bathrooms? Secluded master suite? Do you want formal dining and living rooms or something more casual? Gourmet kitchen? Entertainment room? Office space? Porch? Deck? So many decisions and we haven’t even touched the exterior! Traditional? Classic? Contemporary? What will be compatible with your new neighborhood?
And then there is the task of matching your chosen design to your budget. Only a well-experienced builder can assure you of a good match with no unwanted surprises. No matter where you are in making your choices, we can be your guide. Helping you make these decisions is a large part of what we do when working on your new home construction.
